Indian-American economist and professor at MIT, and a co-founder of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). He pioneered the use of randomized controlled trials in development economics and shared the 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics with Esther Duflo and Michael Kremer.
